a.

For Students of Kathmandu the Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained from the HOPE International College, Satdobato, Lalitpur Nepal by paying Rs.300/-.

b.

For Students outside Kathmandu The Application Form can be obtained from the HOPE Regional Branch by paying Rs.300/-.

2.

For Students of Kathmandu the filled-in Application Form has to be submitted to HOPE International College, Satdobato, Lalitpur Nepal along with the following documents:

For Students outside Kathmandu the filled-in Application Form has to be submitted through the HOPE Regional Branch along with the following documents:

i.

The original entry qualification certificate along with 2 true copies (photocopies). (The original certificate will be returned immediately to the candidate after verification).

ii.

The Identity Card duly filled-in with a passport size photo affixed and three extra passport size photos. (Total 4)

iii.

The candidate has to submit Demand Drafts in the name of "Himalayan Open Educational Pvt. Ltd ", towards Course Fee.

iv.

Transfer /Migration Certificate is not required for admission to any of the courses. The Directorate of Distance Education, Alagappa University, will not issue Transfer /Migration Certificate at the time of completion of the course.

4.

The identity card and course materials shall be delivered to the candidates of the respective HOPE Regional Branch through HOPE International College only.

5.

HOPE International College, Kathmandu and the respective HOPE Regional Branch shall provide the schedules of the Personal contact Program (Contact Classes) to the students along with the identity card and course materials after their admission is confirmed by Alagappa University.

6.

The Contact Classes shall be conducted according to the format provided by HOPE International College Kathmandu.

7.

HOPE Regional Branch must forward all Application Forms along with the necessary documents and Demand draft to HIC within one week of receipt of the same.

After scrutinizing the documents, admission will be confirmed, identity card issued and Enrollment Number assigned to the eligible candidates by Alagappa Universirty. This process normally takes approximately 30 days.

Students are instructed to keep the Identity Card in safe custody till the end of the course.

Once the candidates are admitted, his/her registration is valid for the entire period of study, subject to the payment of course fees for the respective year.

a.

All fees should be paid in the form of Demand Draft only in the name of "Himalayan Open Educational Pvt. Ltd ".

b.

The candidates should write their:-

i.

Name

ii.

Application number and

iii.

Name of the course on the reverse of the Demand Draft.

c.

Cheques, Postal Orders and Money Orders will not be accepted under any circumstances.

d.

Demand Draft should be payable at Kathmandu only, Demand Drafts payable outside Kathmandu will not be accepted.

e.

One single demand draft has to be submitted for each installment course fee.

f.

The students are permitted to pay the fees year-wise.

g.

Any fee paid by the candidate shall neither be refunded nor adjusted towards any other payment.

2.

Applicants should fill-up the Application Form in block letters in his/her own handwriting.

3.

Change of Name will not be permitted in the middle of the course of study.

4.

Before dispatching the applications the HOPE Regional Branch should make note of the application number and keep a copy of the documents for themselves for reference purposes.

5.

If the certificates submitted by the applicant are in any language other than English, an English version of the Certificate, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should be enclosed, failing which such certificates will not be considered.

i.

If there is any discrepancy between the information furnished in the application form and in the supporting documents, such application will be summarily rejected.

ii.

If there is any difference in the name including surname given in the application and the name found in the Mark Statements / Certificates, such application will be rejected.

7.

No candidate should register for two courses in the same year.

8.

Whenever the HOPE Regional Branch corresponds with the HIC, it must quote the student's Enrolment Number and Course. Correspondence without Enrolment Number and Course will not be entertained.

9.

The HIC Board reserves the right to conduct or not to conduct any of the courses if the circumstances so warrant.

10.

Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right.

11.

Incomplete application will be rejected.

The students have to complete the course (both Theory and Practicals / Projects/ Dissertations) within 5 years from the year of registration of period of study failing which, their registration will stand automatically cancelled and they have to register afresh if they want to continue the course. But the students should have paid the Course Fees for all the years of study before the last date specified.
