Introduction:
Bachelor of Public Health of Purbanchal University is a three
years course which aims to prepare competent graduates with advanced
knowledge with the practical skills necessary to deliver high
quality public health services needed for the country. It also
aims to prepare professional public health specialist with appropriate
technical and managerial competent required for district level
health programs which include but not limited to to problem indetification,
Planning, implentation, Training, Health education, and Health
research.

Duration of the Program:
The course has been designed for three academic years concentrating
in general public health courses. There will be concurrent and
residential field work during the second and third academic years.
Teaching and learning Methods:
A number of effective and participatory teaching and learning
methods will be employed to facilitate innovative learning. The
choice of the methods largely depend on the nature of the subject
matter and the situation. Nevertheless, the following methods
will be emphasized and adopted:

Evaluation:
There will be final examination at the end of each consecutive
year which will carry 80% marks. Three internal assessment examinations
consisting of 20% marks in aggregate will be taken each year before
appearing in the final examination conducted by the university.
The qualifying marks for theory classes will be 50% and for field
work and practicals will be 60%.
Admission Criteria:

Certificate Level in general medicine or
any other certificate level in health sciences or intermediate
or 10+2 with biology with second division in aggregate. |
2. |
Must pass the Entrance Examination conducted by Purvanchal
Unviversity with at least 50% Marks. |
