Introduction:
The Bachelor of Sciences Nursing program ( B. Sc. Nursing) of
Purbanchal University is a four year program. The program aiming
to prepare professional nurses with the highest possible technical
and managerial competence in respective level of health programs,
including problem identification, planning, implementing, training,
health education, evaluation and research. Such Graduates can
serve in various types of positions at national, regional, zoanla,
district, or local levles. Such graduates will be needed in various
kinds of governmental or non-governmental health agencies, communities,
hospitals, schools, campuses and institutions. Other areas may
involve special responsibilities, e.g. working directly with local
communities and individuals, working primarily with school teachers,
administering health education services, and preparing health
workers in nursing fields. In general, the B. Sc. Graduates should
be able to carry out the responsibilities of various health institutions
as a Nursing Officer, Faculty, Basic Level Researcher and Direct
Care Provider.

Duration of the Program:
The course has been designed for four academic years concentrating
in general Nursing Science courses.

A number of effective and participatory teaching and learning
methods will be applied to facilitate innovative learning. The
choice of the methods largely depend on the nature of the subject
matter and the situation. Nevertheless, the following methods

Evaluation:
There will be final examination at the end of each consecutive
year. Internal Assessments will be continuosly conducted by the
faculties in their respective subjects.
Admission Criteria:
1. |
Candidate must have completed intermediate
sciences or 10+2 or equivalent with biology, chemistry,
physics, math and English as main subjects and should have
secured minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate. |

Physically and mentally fit. |
3. |
Must have completed 17 years age. |
4. |
Must pass the Entrace Examination conducted by Purvanchal
University with at least 50% marks. |
