HIC was established in 2003 and is located in a building complex at Satdobato, Lalitpur, in the Kathmandu Valley. HIC is registered with the Company Registrar’s Office in Kathmandu, in accordance with Nepal’s Company Act 2063 B.S. HIC aims to develop modern, resourceful, and relevant education in the health sciences field, by providing a favourable environment in order to optimize the learning potential of all students. Currently, we are providing the following degrees:
- Bachelor of Public Health
- Bachelor in Pharmacy
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Executive MBA (Affiliate of Purbanchal University)
- Post Basic Bachelor of Nursing
- Master of Public Health
HIC is managed by its two founding members: Director Mr. Sarat Singh Bhandari and Chair: Ms. Nirjala Raut.
As the world moves with its new challenges and unique demands, the rapid pace of globalization increases the demand of its dedicated nurses, public health professionals, and other health care experts, who possesses the required skill set and commitment, using international standards. Our institution provides a learning environment in which students learn both theoretically and practically.
Recently, HIC has partnered with Health and Development Associates (HDA), to provide performance management. Our mission, here at HIC is to provide a modern, resourceful and relevant education to students, by creating an environment conducive to the utmost development of an individual’s learning potential. Through our extracurricular and curricular activities, we instill personal qualities, i.e. self reliance, self confidence, discipline, and leadership qualities, in our students and prepare them for forthcoming challenges.
